Trains announced: August 20th and 21st

August Train running

Diary at the ready!

The GCR have given us advanced notice of when trains will next run on the Mountsorrel Branch Line, so keep the weekend of the 20th/21st August free.

Trains will be made up of the three carriages forming the GCR’s heritage diesel multiple unit, as shown on the poster above. Trains will run between 10:30am and 3:45pm and run every 45 minutes between Bond Lane and Swithland sidings, stopping at Nunckley Hill. Ticket prices will be £5 for adults, £3 for children.

Please don’t overload the GCR and heritage centre phone lines seeking further information. As more of the details are finalised we will be sure to keep you posted.

We hope you like our 1930’s style art deco railway poster created especially for the event by one of our volunteers. We’ll be selling limited edition A3 mounted prints of the poster in Granite’s for £40, to raise funds for the heritage centre. They’ll be two versions and they should be available in a couple of weeks time.
