Mountsorrel station track completed to Bond Lane bridge
We’ve been moving as much ballast into place as quickly as possible, whilst we have the help of volunteer Nigel operating the digger for us, and thankfully all the trackbed is now fully ballasted.
The Time Office has now been dismantled with even the corner bricks and bits of metal work salvaged.
Even more exciting is we are now organising the training for guards, travel ticket inspectors and station staff ready for the line becoming operational this summer. Would you like to volunteer for this? You will need to available at weekends for 1 or 2 days a month. Email volunteer.2019@heritage-centre.co.uk
