The Great Central Railway are responsible for running trains on the Mountsorrel Branch Line. They list running days in their Special Events section. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the http://www.gcrailway.co.uk/ website, or cash only on the day from the guard.
We have a small team of volunteers that give shunting demonstrations from time to time. We use our Ruston and Hornsby diesel to manoeuvre our collection of wagons our the base of the quarry. Please check out the calendar for the next demonstration.
