A glimpse of what’s to come this weekend, a short clip of the test train earlier this month!
Have you ordered your tickets yet via the GCR website (Mountsorrel Running Weekend)? Remember that train tickets purchased on the day are CASH ONLY. This weekend, August 20th and 21st, are the only confirmed dates where you can ride the Mountsorrel Railway, so make sure you don’t miss out.
As well as the railway the heritage centre site, including the Nunckley Trail, will be open as usual. Granite’s will be operating a special menu for the weekend, they’ll be a stand outside selling sausage/bacon baps.
Parisella’s also have supplied us with new ice cream flavours and several sorbet flavours! You can join the train at either Mountsorrel Station on Bond Lane or at the heritage centre (Nunckley Hill). Parking is available at both sites and there is over-flow parking on Bond Lane next to the station, thanks to Stonehurst Farm.
Subject to availability Stonehurst will be running a tractor trailer link from Mountsorrel Station to the farm.
