Painting in Oils: Working without brushes

Painting in oils: working without brushes

Four-week course,
Tuesdays 10am to 1.00pm.
7th June until 28th June.
Total cost £60
(to include paint, tools, etc).

An action packed, four-week course learning how painting with palette knives, rollers, cloths and other equipment and materials can provide a wonderful loose and expressive style of painting. With a little guidance and practice, good results can be achieved in a short space of time.

This short course will explore materials required and basic techniques as well as some colour theory and colour mixing practice. We will also look at work by famous artists for inspiration. There will be tips, demos and practise and over the four sessions participants will work towards painting a loose and spontaneous landscape or seascape using the techniques learnt.

Perfect for beginners or artists who would like to loosen up their painting style.

All general painting materials and equipment will be provided but there will be a charge for canvases if required. Feel free to bring along a selection of landscape or seascape photographs but there will be plenty of photographic material provided as well.
