Our nature trail will be closed this Tuesday 22nd reopening mid-day on Wednesday 23rd November. This is so that our volunteers can build the wheelchair friendly paths in the bottom of the old quarry.

You may be able to make out the shuttering for the concrete path as it winds its way in front of the Stonemasons’ huts, along-side the platform and up to railway crossing gate. As you can see the narrow gauge track is also progressing well. So sorry kids, no more muddy puddles!
We hope to have more areas of the site ready to open by the end of January.
Granite’s, the heritage centre and the play area will still be open as usual.
