Ben Jackson takes a tour around the Heritage Centre

After eight years of hard work, the Mountsorrel Railway is close to re-opening after years of neglect. It was so neglected in fact that most local people had forgotten it even existed. Well, there’ll be no forgetting now, because not only is the railway close to being operational once more, but there’s also a heritage centre being built as we speak that’ll make sure the quarrying history of the area is understood and appreciated by all.
