Swithland Signalling Upgrade Appeal

In order to run trains between the Mountsorrel Branch and the main GCR line we need to upgrade the signalling at Swithland. The cost of the hardware is around £75,000, whilst installation will be carried out by volunteers. We have a Crowdfunding appeal to raise at least £5,000 of this total. Over the next few months we will be progressively opening further areas of the site. To help us run the attractions we need volunteers, such as guides to open and close the buildings and to answer questions, people to give demonstrations, and also volunteers to help with shunting demonstrations. Ecology Volunteer Open Day 14-July

We have an Eco Volunteer Open Day on Thursday July 14th. Our volunteers will give guided tours of the trail, and the rest of the site, to prospective volunteers, so they can see the type of things we get involved with and see how they can become involved themselves. Network Rail Volunteers

  Back in February a team of volunteers from Network Rail spent two days helping out laying track and working on the Nunckley Trail. They came back last week to continue their work. You can read more about their away-days on the Network Rail Website.
